As part of a citywide effort to prevent FGM/C of girls sent to their parents’ home countries during school vacations, The Kota Alliance is looking to establish a database of organizations and individuals who can assist by distributing information and/or organizing events about this issue: expatriate community groups, churches, mosques, health clinics, daycare centers, school nurses and counselors, teachers, ethnic restaurants, food stores, hair salons and other businesses, etc.

We are collaborating with UMACA (USA-Mali Charitable Association) in their campaign Finally Girls Matter!

A meeting of volunteers, both youth and adults, representing various immigrant communities in the greater NY area who want to join our Coalition Building subcommittee, will be held on April 20, 2017 at 6:30pm at The Women's Lab,
Centre for Social Innovation, 601 West 26th St. Suite 315, New York, NY 10001.
