We invite you to participate in the Finland Center’s Midsummer 5K Run and Nordic Pole Walkathon on Father’s Day, June 18th, to support the Kota Alliance’s work for gender equality. Yes, this benefits men too, particularly in the realm of fatherhood!
Working out of the Center for Social Innovation in New York City, the Kota Alliance supports organizations and social enterprises working for gender equality and women’s empowerment worldwide.
REGISTER at Active to run or Nordic Pole walk (starting time 9:00am for everyone)
Walkers MUST finish by 10:00 according to Park rules. Bring your own poles if you have them! HYVA Nordic Walking has a limited number of loaners - if you would like to sign up for a pair, email email@example.com by June 16! Their instructor will be present at 8:30 to show you how to use them correctly. You can also buy a set of poles from Bungy Pump.
PRIZES for the best man and woman runners! There will also be a raffle among Nordic Walkers with a grand prize from Bungy Pump!
