Paint for a Purpose

  • 475 Atlantic Avenue, 2nd floor Brooklyn, NY 11217 (map)

By Hope and Dreams Initiative & AHF

Join us on March 9, 2019 for a night of fun and painting in commemoration of International women’s days and celebrate all the women who have made a difference in our lives. You will meet the founder of Hope and Dreams Initiative and hear how she is taking one child, one school and one community and passionately creating WASH reading rooms, hygiene facilities and empowering young girls to stay in school during their menstruation.

The event will be hosted by our very own Data Oruwari, a Nigerian raised, and Brooklyn based UX Designer and Visual Artist. She believes that art can bring healing and enhance lives so when she's not creating for herself, she enjoys helping others express themselves creatively. The artist promises the event to be fun, creative and relaxing as you will be painting that celebrates the women in your in your live.

You will be dancing to Nigerian music, food and wine while connecting with other people all the while supporting young Nigerian girls' education and menstrual hygiene.
