Venezuela on the Brink: The urgency of an appropriate international response to the crisis - Panel discussion

Objective: To foster discussion in the context of the UN General Assembly that will press the international community to reject Venezuela’s recent efforts to re-join the UN Human Rights Council, given the country’s grave and worsening human rights crisis. In addition, the event will highlight Venezuelan civil society’s initiatives to generate an appropriate international response to the crisis, including efforts to promote a UN-backed Investigative Commission to bring to light grave violations of human rights and hold perpetrators accountable.
