In Self Image: A celebration of Self, on canvas.
In Self Image is a 2-hour self-portrait painting experience exploring identity, reflection, and creative freedom. Led by surrealist artist Ruthy Valdez and photographer Michael Palma, in collaboration with the West Harlem Arts Alliance, this workshop offers an intimate space for you to explore self-love through art.
Participants will create expressive, symbolic self-portraits inspired by their own image — moving beyond realism to embrace imagination, emotion, and personal storytelling. We will have complimentary drinks and finger foods.
No prior painting experience is required. Come ready to reflect, create boldly, and see yourself anew.
With support from the West Harlem Arts Alliance, all necessary art supplies will be provided. Join us solo or with friends for a wonderful evening!
