Join Hecho por Nosotros and animaná for this interactive dialogue in understanding how to shift gears towards a more inclusive and circular paradigm in the fashion industry!
The fashion and apparel industry is a $2.5 trillion-dollar global industry and involves the entire gamut of society from consumers to producers, businesses, and government. The industry provides economic opportunity to tens of millions of people, predominantly women, in developing and emerging economies. Nonetheless, it has a huge environmental footprint and contributes to diverse forms of modern-day slavery.
It is essential to create a dialogue around what actions can be generated, actors that should be involved, and tools that can be developed in order to promote innovative business models that can harness this force towards one that generates inclusive development and advances the Sustainable Development Goals.
The panel will focus on showcasing perspectives from experts and practitioners across sectors to enrich an interactive conversation on the potential impact of integrating Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to global markets and how to facilitate this integration.
Panel:
Andrew Moose, Head of Retail, Consumer Goods and Lifestyle Industries, World Economic Forum.
Joshua Williams, Associate Director, MPS Fashion Management, Parsons School of Design.
Adriana Marina, Founder of Hecho x Nosotros and animaná (via webcam).
Sandra Moerch-Petersen, Chief Content Director at SAP Next-Gen.
Moderated by: Lilian Liu, Sustainability Strategist, Futerra.
