Healing Arts Programs at Kota Alliance

Lifting up women artists and the arts as a way of creative expression, visioning, dreaming and a pathway to emotional well-being in the heart of West Harlem.

Art Exhibits + Events

Lifting up local women and femme artists from the West Harlem and surrounding area we cultivate gallery space for local artists to be visibilized and for their work to be available to the wider West Harlem community. Additionally, we offer more in-depth programming with local artists including Q&A events, artists and art entrepreneur meet-up events, and more.

Community-Based Programs

We work with local community-based organizations to bring the arts into the community, whether it be through partnering with schools and children’s programming, cultural centers and other nonprofit organizations, or aging and senior programming, we seek to make the arts more accessible to those who could benefit from it in the West Harlem and surrounding areas.

Arts Workshops for Emotional Well-being + Mental Health

We offer a series of arts-related workshops as a pathway to creative expression, emotional well-being and improved mental health through community.

Artist Mentorship Program

We are piloting a new program which we are very excited about, partnering local artists in various genres and mediums (writing/poetry, music, painting, photography, mixed-media, and more) with younger and early-stage artists who are seeking support and guidance as they find their way into the artist world. Our mentorship program is meant to help offer guidance to artists on everything from the craft, to network-building, to finances and entrepreneurship within the field of the arts.

Program partners

Our program partners are Kota Alliance members who we collaborate with to deliver programs for our community. We offer our program partners access to space and audience to conduct programs, collaboration with Kota to expand awareness and reach, and opportunities to co-host events with us.

We are happy to welcome new partners to join us in our mission of gender equity and empowering women. Do you have an idea of a community support or skills training program in West Harlem? Contact us at info@kota-alliance.org to discuss more!
