Our story
Kota was founded in 2015 by Jaana Rehnstrom after she retired as a practicing OBGYN. Over the years, while volunteering with different NGOs in New York, Jaana came to understand the struggles these organizations frequently faced – often in silos and underfunded. The idea of a collaborative work space for women-aligned entities and entrepreneurs started to take form.
